Bumblefoot in caique?

Noticed a small red bump on my caique's foot. Could this be bumblefoot? I have varied perch sizes but maybe not enough natural wood. What should I do? Is this a vet emergency or can I treat at home?

What worked for me was target training first, then building up to step-up. Took about a week but my caique responded really well to it.

So what I ended up doing was putting the food bowl higher up — birds feel safer eating at height. Within a few days there was a noticeable improvement. Definitely worth trying.

My vet in Hamilton suggested offering chop first thing in the morning when they're hungriest and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.
