Working from home with a parrotlet is an EXPERIENCE. Sunny has now learned to say 'Can you hear me?' and 'You're on mute' in my voice. My coworkers think it's hilarious. My boss... less so. Anyone else's bird pick up work-from-home phrases?

What kind of cage setup do you have? Sometimes the environment is a factor.

Just joined! I have a beautiful Indian Ringneck named Mango and we live in the Danforth. I spend way too much time talking to my bird and taking photos of them. For this I'd highly recommend Roudybush. My zebra finch loves it and my vet approved it too.

I'd suggest trying spending at minimum 2 hours of supervised out-of-cage time daily. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.

I've done a ton of research on this because my lineolated parakeet had the same issue. Here's what I learned: the most common cause is hormonal season — spring is brutal. What worked for us was target training first, then building up to step-up. I also started reading "The Parrot Problem Solver" by Barbara Heidenreich and noticed improvement within a week. It's a process but it gets better.

Second vote for BST. They boarded my cockatiel last summer and I could tell Luna was well cared for when I picked them up. Total peace of mind.
