Every morning at exactly 6 AM, my Amazon parrot starts their morning concert. No snooze button. No volume control. Just pure unfiltered bird joy at an unreasonable hour. My neighbours in Brampton probably hate me. What time does your feathered alarm go off?

I went through this exact thing with my Amazon parrot Pistachio! It lasted about about a month and then resolved on its own. Hang in there.

Did this start suddenly or was it gradual? When my Amazon parrot did this it turned out to be molting — they get uncomfortable and cranky.

Hmm, I'm on the fence about this one. Part of me agrees but then I think about my experience with Paco and it doesn't quite line up.

Okay but counterpoint — what about birds that are the complete opposite? My Amazon parrot breaks every rule lol.

My Amazon parrot did this too! Turned out it was because of not enough quality sleep — they need 10-12 hours uninterrupted. Once I addressed that, everything went back to normal.

What worked for me was putting a bird lamp on a 12/12 timer to simulate natural daylight cycles. Took about a week but my Amazon parrot responded really well to it.
