Hi everyone! I recently adopted a rescue Senegal parrot from a shelter near Vaughan. Their name is Charlie (the shelter named them but it stuck). They're a bit shy and don't trust easily — no idea what their previous situation was. I want to give them the absolute best life possible. Any tips for helping a rescue bird settle in and learn to trust again?

I went through this exact thing with my eclectus Peaches! It lasted about a few days and then resolved on its own. Hang in there.

If you're in Etobicoke, check out the avian vet on Hurontario St. They're amazing with eclectus specifically.

My Mango went through a phase like this around 1 year. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.

YES! This is exactly what I needed to read today. My eclectus and I have been going through the same thing!
